Cake Decorating Contest

2025 Cake Contest

Overview:

All Cub Scouts can make a cake for the Blue and Gold Banquet! You and a grown-up can bake and decorate it together. Grown-ups should let the Scout do most of the work.

Rules:

  1. Cake check-in is 5:30 PM and 6:00 PM at the Blue and Gold Banquet in Servant Hall.

  2. One cake entry per Cub Scout.

  3. Do not label your cake with names or den numbers. Numbered tags will be provided for cake identification at check-in.

  4. The cake itself, excluding decorations, must be entirely edible.

  5. Store-bought, pre-assembled cakes are not allowed.

  6. Boxed mixes and store-bought icing are permitted, but you must do the mixing and decorating.

  7. Cakes are intended for dessert during the Blue and Gold Banquet. If you don’t want your cake eaten at the banquet, you can remove it after judging.

  8. The people who will judge the cakes are the registered adult leaders of Pack 99, who are at the Blue and Gold Banquet.

Scouts will compete for BEST DECORATED CAKE by three den groups:
Group 1: Lion and Tiger Den
Group 2: Wolf and Bear Den
Group 3: Webelos Den

The three winners will receive trophies at the Blue and Gold Banquet.
